A Review of Pakistan’s Perspective on COVID-19 Pandemic
Views 269
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the world into an economic, education, and healthcare crisis. Pakistan with the most vulnerable population to infectious diseases is significantly affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. The pattern and impact of the pandemic revealed flaws in the worldwide response to the infection across many countries. Lack of effective surveillance or adequate response could enable the emergence of new epidemics. Therefore, this review summarized the impact of COVID‐19 over the medical field, economy, education, and politics in Pakistan, which could be useful and provide necessary information on ongoing COVID-19 pandemics in the region. With the ongoing deployment of several highly effective SARS-CoV-2 vaccines in many countries, there is an expectation that this virus will disappear.
